Lufthansa passengers to be hit by strike on Wednesday
Lufthansa flights to, from and within Germany will be hit on Wednesday by another pilots’ strike.
The Vereiningung cockpit union said the airline’s short and mid-haul flights will be affected.
The industrial action is the latest in a series of walk-outs by pilots in a dispute over early retirement benefits and also Lufthansa’s plans to expand its budget operations.
The strike will last 24 hours and will affect flights throughout Germany but Lufthansa’s low-cost subsidiaries Germanwings and Eurowings will operate as normal.
