Luxury travel brands embark on a joint European project
Western & Oriental Plc and Leading Interactive Reservations (a division of The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd.) announced a joint marketing agreement between two of the strongest luxury travel brands either side of the Atlantic. The arrangement will see Western & Oriental, one of the UK’s foremost luxury tour operators, providing a fulfilment service to Leading’s high profile European customer database.
Western & Oriental will be operating luxury tours, city breaks and resort vacations utilising agreements with The Leading Hotels of the World. This is a unique opportunity for both companies to expand its sales significantly in the luxury leisure market. Western & Oriental has been appointed to handle enquiries and fulfilment for the UK, Ireland and German speaking markets, which include Austria and Switzerland. Bookings and client support will be handled by Western & Oriental’s London and Frankfurt offices.
Ian Neale, Group Managing Director of Western & Oriental Plc said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to provide Leading Interactive Customers with the same superb and comprehensive travel service which Western & Oriental clients already receive. We believe this close relationship with Leading Interactive will produce significant sales and will create a solid partnership for the future.”
William McDonald President and CEO of Leading Interactive Reservations LLC said:
“This is an important step to expand our Leading Vacations luxury travel package business in Germany, Ireland and the UK. We believe this effort will significantly increase our room sales for member properties via travel packages including air.
Welf Ebeling, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. commented:
“This agreement will help Leading Interactive continue its successful expansion and will bring significant value to our shareholders and customers alike. This initiative is yet another indication of Leading Hotel’s commitment to providing optimum service on a global scale.”
