Management shake-up at The Travel Network Group
The Travel Network Group has announced a shake-up of its Board following the departure of group marketing director Si Morris-Green.
He left earlier this year to spend more time with his young family before looking for new opportunities in the industry.
Under the new structure, Lisa Henning, formerly group membership services director, becomes chief commercial officer.
In this expanded role, she takes on responsibility for all member-facing functions including membership, marketing, its Honeycomb booking system, Cruise Club Concierge and the consortium’s wholly-owned retail stores.
Henning is currently looking to recruit a member facing head of marketing and said the ideal candidate would be an ‘industry heavyweight’ who understands all aspects of the industry.
Meanwhile Vim Vithaldas, group finance and commercial director, becomes chief operating officer.
He will continue to be responsible for commercial, finance, risk and trustees and now assumes responsibility for operations.
Alexis Coles-Barrasso, who has helped TTNG with public relations on a part-time basis for nine years, becomes director of PR and communications on a full-time basis and also joins the Board.
She will be responsible for managing the group’s public relations and will also develop a ‘detailed proposition’ to support members with their own PR strategies.
All three will report into CEO Gary Lewis, who shared the news with 350 members at its conference in Budapest and in a letter to the 650 members who were not at the event.
He said: "Providing leadership for all these services will enable us to get a 360-degree overview of our membership delivery, ensuring our members remain at the heart of our business and that we can manage our relationships as effectively as possible."
