Melia signs up two new hotels in Bali
Spanish hospitality group Melia Hotels International has signed management contracts for two more hotels in Bali.
This will take its portfolio to six on the Indonesian holiday island.
The company will manage the recently opened 132-room Sol House Kuta Bali and the Sol House Jimbaran, which is slated to open in 2018.
Both hotels will feature restaurants, pools, a spa, meeting rooms and children’s amenities.
Melia also said it is looking to open a property on the neighbouring island of Lombok, as well as Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines.
"We are in the best of conditions to expand into the main holiday destinations of Asia-Pacific and satisfy the expectations of the modern traveller with experiences that revolutionise the traditional sun-and-beach concept," said Bernardo Cabot, vice president Asia Pacific.
The company recently announced its market entry into Vietnam with the signing of the Sol House Phu Quoc, which is scheduled to open next year.
