Michelin taking a bite of the ‘Big Apple’

Tuesday, 24 Feb, 2005 0

Michelin announced it would launch its first-ever Michelin Guide in North America, the Michelin Guide New York City, later this year.

Michelin presently publishes 12 editions covering 20 European countries.

The New York City guide will have 500 restaurants and 50 hotels.

The move was made based on strong demand for an American guide, said Edouard Michelin. He added:

“As we’ve done with each of our 10 editions outside France, we are making every effort to produce a selection that does full justice to the rich diversity of the New York City restaurant and hotel culture.”
