Midnight sex assaulter gets seven years jail time
An Arizona man was sentenced to more than seven years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman sleeping next to him on an airline flight.
Deepak Jahagirdar, 55, a former health care executive, was convicted earlier of sexually abusing and having abusive sexual contact with a 22-year-old woman.
The woman was traveling alone and on a Texas-Boston flight when she awoke to find she was being assaulted, according to the Associated Press.
She left her seat and alerted the flight crew. Mr Jahagirdar was arrested when the flight landed.
