Monarch carryings soar again
Monarch Scheduled has again reported a significant rise in passenger volume with carryings for October up almost 60% on the same month last year.
More than 270,000 travelled on the airline last month compared to 172,000 in October 2004. Load factors also increased by 5.2 percentage points to 78.3% while online bookings jumped 41%.
From Birmingham International the airline carried 29,000, the highest number since it launched operations from the airport in May.
