Monarch launches dedicated trade site

Thursday, 12 Jun, 2014 0

Monarch Travel Group has launched a dedicated trade website, which it claims will speed up bookings, increase flexibility, give quicker access to new products and has advanced administration capability.

With only one agent log-in required, the website home page hosts links to all four of the Group’s brands; Cosmos Holidays, somewhere2stay, Avro Flights and sister company, Cosmos Tours & Cruises.

Whilst flight-only operator Avro Flights and accommodation-only provider somewhere2stay have previously offered trade bookable websites, this is the first time that all four brands are united in one portal.

The site will also has sections for agent support, special offers, key selling points and agent incentives as well as trade guides.

The new system will provide the tour operator with faster speed to market as newly contracted hotels and special offers can be loaded instantly for agents to view and book, it said.

A speedier booking process for adding commissionable extras to a booking. such as check-in luggage, special dietary requirements and sports equipment, is also available.

The advanced administration capability will give agents a greater control of bookings with the option to amend or cancel, review documentation and supply the customer with necessary paperwork including ATOL licences and booking confirmations, said Monarch.

All bookings taken by the agent can be easily reviewed with a summary of costs including earned commission.

Sales director Gary Anslow said: "The development of the trade website bringing all of our brands together in one place is a further demonstration of our investment in, and focus on, trade distribution."

He added: "The ability to move between brands at the touch of a button means that the trade portal will become a ‘one stop shop’ for agents.  Sharing colourful imagery and details of our range of accommodation, featured resorts as well as touring and cruise itineraries with customers will enable agents to convert interest quickly and easily into bookings."

The Monarch Travel Group is in the process of contacting agents with details of their dedicated log-in details as well as a website user guide.
