Naked ambition for Travelzest
Naturist tour operator Peng Travel has been bought by Travelzest for more than £1.7 million.
It is the latest acquisition by the expanding specialist operating group run by former TUI UK boss Chris Mottershead.
Peng, formed in 1971, claims to be the UK’s biggest naturist operator with turnover of £2,585,925 in 2005 resulting in an operating profit of £234,603.
Mottershead said: “It is our strategic objective to build a new travel group focused on high quality brands offering specialist holiday services.
“Peng Travel is a successful business and the leader in its niche market. It meets Travelzest’s strict criteria for acquisitions, offering a sustainable revenue stream and growth potential at an attractive price.
“The group portfolio continues to evolve and we expect to make further acquisitions this year.”
