New appointments for business travel agency
Business travel agency FCm Travel Solutions has expanded its team in Scotland with the appointment of two new account managers, Claire McGuinness and Paul Jarvie based in Aberdeen, and a new sales director, Lynne McKay, in the Edinburgh office.
The new appointments have been made as a result of business growth from FCm existing client portfolio in Scotland as well as new client wins totalling £10 million since January 2010.
“We have seen a significant increase in new business this year in Scotland despite the fact that the economy is still in recession, and we expect this growth to continue into 2011,” said UK general manager Ciarán Kelly.
McKay is returning to corporate travel as sales director responsible for FCm’s new business in Scotland after a five year stint in the healthcare industry as senior corporate sales consultant with Simplyhealth.
Prior to that McKay spent 11 years in the business travel arena. Her roles included five years with Britannic Travel as account director based in Glasgow and six years as regional sales manager with Hertz.
In her new role, McKay will be targeting medium to large sized clients with an annual travel spend of over £1.5 million per annum in a bid to generate £6 million new business over the next 12 months.
McGuinness, previously an account manager with American Express Business Travel, will manage a range of client corporate travel accounts each with an annual travel budget up to £1.5 million.
Jarvie will manage a portfolio of corporate clients with an annual travel spend of £200,000 to £1.5million. An ex-professional footballer, Jarvie was previously sales manager for the Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen.
