New Aussie web site launched today
A new Australia tourism web site launched today is expected to drive Aussie domestic and international tourism, with the website www.pleasetakemeto.com allowing domestic and international travellers to research, plan and book an Australian holiday.
Providing access to more than 500 location-specific video clips, 10,000 photos and more than 24,000 listings for accommodation, sightseeing and attraction venues and events across Australia’s 69 official tourism regions, Federal Tourism Minister Fran Bailey said at today’s launch in Coolangatta, “This initiative will help to encourage domestic travellers to holiday in and explore their own country, particularly regional areas.”
She added, “The site uses an exceptional video and photography archive to motivate and excite Australians about what some of our country’s great holiday regions have to offer.”
Brisbane-based multimedia agency Tourism Media has developed the website over the past four years and spokesman Todd Levi said, “Site visitors can soar above the azure blue of the Whitsundays at breathtaking speed or travel the open road through South Australia’s gorgeous wine country.”
“As more people discover the rich beauty of Queensland and the rest of Australia from the convenience of their home or office we expect the number of tourists to increase dramatically.”
