New contract awarded for Statue of Liberty ferry service

Ferry operator Statue City Cruises will continue as authorized operator for Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island services.
The National Park Service awarded the company a new ten-year contract
Statue City Cruises has been operating the service for more than 15 years.
Visitation is currently at 87% of pre-pandemic levels.
Historically, visitation has averaged more than four million annual visitors, with an all-time high 4.6 million in 2016.
Statue City Cruises will continue running services from its two docks at Battery Park in lower Manhattan and Liberty State Park in Jersey City.
The pedestal and crown of the Statue of Liberty fully reopened for visitors in October 2022.
