New flights from Luton announced by Wizz Air
Wizz Air is adding new flights from Luton to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon and Ukraine’s second largest city of Kharikiv this winter.
After taking the decision to base a ninth A321 at the London base, Wizz will also increase frequencies on its flights to Pristina in Kosovo, Tirana in Albania and to Satu Mare in Romania.
Wizz Air said the additional A321 Airbus at Luton will bring its total investment in its UK operations this year to almost $1 billion and will create additional jobs at Luton.
By the end of the year, the airline’s team at Luton will have grown to more than 350.
The new services will bring the total number of new UK routes for 2018 to 19, and the number of new routes from Luton to 14.
Daily flights to Lisbon will start on October 28 while the three times a week service to Kharkiv will start on November 13.
