New South Wales Liberals and Labour don’t want to talk about their policies!
With today being outgoing New South Wales Labour Minister Sandra Nori’s last day in the office before the New South Wales State Government elections, The Mole called both the Outgoing Minister and Shadow Minster’s Office to seek an interview with both sides of political scene to assess their tourism policies post the election, whoever would win!
Unfortunately neither side of politics appeared to want to speak with The Mole as they both failed to return phone calls, messages that were left with staffer and even emails!
Ah well!
With the Nori Ministry considered by analysts and the industry to have been responsible for the significant decline of the new South Wales tourism industry, operators in regional New South Wales have described the Minister and her Department, Tourism New South Wales as largely irrelevant, a view echoed by the trade in Sydney, with Minister Nori’s departure also viewed by analysts and industry as not a great loss.
With the Labour party likely to win tomorrow’s election the Minister’s Office would not give any indication who the new Minister would be, but the industry is hoping the appointment will herald a turnaround in the fortunes of NSW tourism.
