New Triton chairman wants to work with Advantage agents
New Triton chairman Steven Freudmann has pledged to allow Advantage members to work with the super-consortium, despite a fall out between the two groups.
Last week, Advantage and its managing director John McEwan left Triton, but Freudmann said: “Triton technology and products are used by 80% of Advantage members and as Triton chairman I will strongly advocate these products are still made available to Advantage members.â€
Freudmann said he also wanted to develop Triton products and encourage other agencies to join the super-consortium.
“There is strength in numbers,“ he said. “We’ve got around 1,200 agencies and I want to get others to join. The door will always be open to Advantage members and I don’t want to get into this situation where we’re a closed club.â€
Freudmann is also chairman of the Institute of Travel and Tourism and a director of ABTA.
“The ABTA position was important to Triton members because it means Triton’s views will be heard around the table on the ABTA board.â€
