Simon Press has been promoted to the role of exhibition director for World Travel Market.
He replaces Craig Moyes, who has been promoted to group exhibition director for WTM parent company Reed Exhibition’s global meetings and events portfolio.
Press, with Reed Exhibitions for three years, was exhibition director on WTM’s sister exhibition Arabian Travel Market before becoming head of sales for the UK show last year.
He joins as the event prepares to benefit from a £165 million expansion of London venue ExCeL.
WTM chairman Fiona Jeffery said: “I am delighted to welcome Simon to the position of WTM exhibition director. He has extensive experience in the exhibition industry and a proven track record as highly successful exhibition director.
“His passion for innovation and creativity allied to a strong show management background will further strengthen World Travel Market’s position as the premier global event for the travel industry.
“Having worked on WTM for the past 12 months working closely with both internal and external stakeholders he is well placed to carry on the good work of Craig Moyes.”
