New Zealand Luxury Hotel Launches HELI-SKI Winter Experiences
Luxury boutique hotel Huntley House has announced Heli-Ski Winter Experiences, as an exciting offering to enjoy New Zealand’s spectacular South Island mountain ranges that include Mt Hutt, the Arrowsmiths, Ragged and the Palmer Ranges.
With exhilarating itineraries and expert guides certified by the New Zealand Mountain Guide Association (NZMGA), Huntley House will fly you to the most breathtaking skiing locations for all skill levels. Guests will be introduced to over 250 runs, ranging from novice green runs to the advanced black runs. The longest ski run provides a challenging drop of over 1,200 vertical metres.
“With over 1000 square kilometers of mountain, and runs that include wide open basins and steep descents, there’s nowhere else in New Zealand where heli-skiers or heli-boarders can experience this caliber of alpine terrain,” said John Reid, owner and host of Huntley House.
“Huntley House has an ideal location, only 30 minutes by helicopter from the best runs, and only minutes away by land from the city centre, so guests can enjoy both worlds. Be it the thrilling adventure up in the Alps, the many attractions of Christchurch or to simply relax and enjoy the luxury of Huntley House,” John added.
The Huntley House Heli-Ski Experiences include:
Mt. Hutt Region Full Week or Weekend package:
** Two to three heli-ski runs daily, building confidence and trying different and more challenging slopes throughout their stay.
Big Mountain Full Week or Weekend Package (for experienced skiers):
** Unlimited ski runs. These runs offer 800 – 1,200 vertical metres.
Huntley House’ HELI-SKI Winter Experiences can also be tailor-made to suit guest requirements.
Private heli-ski charters and all equipment hire can also be arranged.
Packages start at NZ$3977.00 per person (twin share) for the Mt. Hutt Region Weekend package, and includes 3-night luxury accommodations, a professional guide, and a maximum of three heli-ski runs daily.
All HELI-SKI Winter Experiences include transfers to and from the airport in a chauffeur-driven Hummer H2, courtesy of Southern Classic Rentals www.southernclassicrentals.co.nz.
Other luxury and classic vehicles available for self or chauffeur-driven hire include a 1964 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III, a Bentley Brooklands and a Bentley Turbo R, a Jaguar SS 100, an MG TD 2000, a Range Rover Vogue and an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage.
