Newmarket Holidays pairs two music icons for new tour
Newmarket Holidays has launched a new musical tour exploring the locations that inspired two music icons, Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton.
The Ultimate Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton Experience is a nine-day pilgrimage that goes to the key places, including Tupelo in Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis, and then Sevier County, where Dolly Parton grew up.
Guests experience the blues, soul and rock ‘n’ roll spirit of Elvis’ home Memphis.
There are optional tours to the famed Sun Studios, followed by a visit to Graceland, the legendary home of The King.
After visiting Nashville, the historic Music Row district and the Country Music Hall of Fame are among the available tour options.
This musical tour then hits the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, where a life-size bronze statue of a guitar-playing Dolly Parton welcomes arrivals.
Fans can explore the singer’s birthplace, and a chance to visit the Dollywood amusement park.
Richard Harrington, Long Haul Destination Manager said: “Elvis has been one of our most popular tours for many years, so we are delighted to serve up a double-dollop of American greats.”
The Ultimate Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton Experience is available from May to November 2024.
