NexusTours boosts North America presence with key appointment
Destination management company NexusTours has named Hector Aguirre as North America Commercial Strategy Manager as it signals its intent to make further inroads in the North America market.
Project management professional Aguirre served as Corporate Project Manager at Nexus for the past two years and as the new commercial leader for North America will drive market growth.
He is also tasked with building on the company’s relationship with its existing 1,500 travel partners, who are connected through API’s for XML integrations or through the TPP online platform Travel Partner Portal.
"With Hector’s addition to the commercial team, we intend to strengthen our business with travel agencies in the United States and Canada," said Roberto Bermudez, senior corporate director of distribution & product.
Aguirre reports directly to Bermudez.
Part of the Sunwing Travel Group, NexusTours offers comprehensive destination services various North American and European travel companies including Vacation Express and TUI Travel Group, as well as Sunwing.
It currently operates in seven US destinations including Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Daytona, St. Petersburg, New York and Las Vegas.
