Northwest, United offer major expansions
Northwest said it was more than doubling its departures from Indianapolis with new nonstop service to Boston, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Hartford, Conn.; Las Vegas; Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Raleigh/Durham, and Washington.
All 19 new flights will begin in October.
Northwest’s new flights to Hartford and Raleigh/Durham will be the only non-stops offered to those destinations from Indianapolis.
United announced several new markets from its Chicago O’Hare and Washington Dulles hubs.
In Chicago, the new daily service to six destinations will bring to 134 the markets served by United and United Express.
From Washington, new daily nonstop roundtrips to five more cities will bring United and United Express markets to 81. United says that is more than double the markets served by its nearest competitor at Dulles.
The new service will start 4 October, the airline said.
