NYC launches specialists programme
NYC & Company has launched an online training programme targeting front-line travel sales staff in the UK.
The two-year NYC Specialists programme was developed by the city’s tourist body in association with Equator Learning.
Agents will have to complete 10 modules including sections discussing New York’s attractions, hotels, specialties, shopping, luxury and dining.
Each module contains educational text and a short quiz and are accompanied by New York City photos.
Agents can stop and resume the modules as they wish, giving them the opportunity to build the programme around their schedules.
“The goal of the training academy is not just for front-line sales staff to complete the module, but to return again and again to continually build on their knowledge,†said Robert Wilson, UK sales and marketing account director for NYC & Company.
See www.nycvisit.com/training for more details.
