Operators launch 2014 early booking campaigns
Travel suppliers have released details of their early-booking campaigns for 2014.
P&O Cruises’ multi-million pound campaign, launched on Boxing Day, is aimed at ’empty nesters’.
Marketing director Christopher Edgington said: "Our extensive research shows that this life stage has the greatest potential for us, as Britain’s favourite cruise company, and we are targeting them with an upbeat message about the appeal of cruising which they may not have considered before."
In addition, from today (December 23), P&O Cruises is offering free on-board spending and double free on board spending for single travellers, on bookings made before February 28, 2014.
First Choice is offering £740 per couple off 14 nights all-inclusive in Mauritius, from £1,599; and ‘thousands’ of free kids’ places, low-cost deposits and other early booking incentives on selected hotels
Andrew Flintham, commercial director, for Thomson and First Choice, said: "We anticipate that customers will book early to take advantage of these fantastic offers."
Virgin Atlantic’s sale runs until January 28 2014, valid for travel on various dates throughout 2014.
Return flight prices include £429 to New York; £439 to Boston and £469 to Washington, including taxes, fees, charges and surcharges.
Meanwhile, specialist holiday companies that are part of the Association of Independent TourOperators have released details of special winter sun offers.
They include Mustique and Barbados with Kudu Travel from £4,900 per person: a 12-day Cuba tour with Journey Latin America from £1,516 per person with Journey Latin America and a three-centre Tanzania, Zanzibar and beach option, from £1,035 per person with Tribes Travel.
