Palmer out …….Raunola in – ANTOR changes!
The Association of National Tourist Offices President Jo-Anna Palmer, who has been at the helm of ANTOR since December 2006 and has led the Association of National Tourist Offices through its latest period of change has resigned.
The announcment was made yesterday following a board meeting on 10 April with Jo Anna announcing that she is resigning in light of her next special project that will be taking up the majority of her time.
Satu Raunola, [Pictured right with Mervi Hyvonen, Regional Director Overseas Markets Finnish Tourist Board at the recent Finland roadshow in Sydney] longstanding Board Member and former President of ANTOR who represents Finland will be taking over as Chairperson with Andrew Clark representing Hong Kong Tourist Board as Vice-Chairperson.
Speaking on behalf of ANTOR Satu said, “We are sad to see Jo-Anna leave the ANTOR board and her contribution, energy and enthusiasm will be missed but we are all very excited for her future.”
“I look forward to my new challenge as Chairperson of ANTOR and we are lucky to have a diverse and forward thinking Board, committed to providing excellent services for our members.”
She added, “We would also like to welcome our new Secretariat Mike Lillie who in his short term has already made his mark.”
