Passenger in a hurry to get out of the plane
A woman was arrested after she tried to open an airline exit door while the plane was still in the air.
The 52-year-old Florida woman tried to leave as a United Airlines flight was descending into Seattle to land.
The plane was at an altitude of about 4,000 feet, reported the Associated Press.
When a warning light in the cockpit notified pilots, a flight attendant persuaded the woman to sit back down.
The charge was malicious mischief.
Police were investigating whether drugs or alcohol was involved.
