Hilton Hotels announced the retirement three executives in a management shake-up in Hawaii. Gary Seibert, area vice president and managing director for Hawaii; Noel Trainor, general manager of the Hilton Hawaiian Village; and Dieter Seeger, general manager the Hilton Waikoloa Village, all retired on Friday.
Seibert, a 35-year veteran at Hilton, assumed his position in 2005 after the retirement of longtime Hilton Hawaii executive Peter Schall, but the GMs had been with Hilton Hawaii for quite some time. Trainor had worked with Hilton Hawaii since 1984. He had been general manager of the Hilton Hawaiian Village since 1994. Seeger had been with Hilton for 40 years and had been general manager at the Hilton Waikoloa Village since 1993.
The Kona Village Resort on the Big Island named Rodger MacDonald director of sales and marketing. MacDonald will be the onsite contact for travel agents and meeting planners while also overseeing Web site content, advertising, packages and resort promotions.
