Qantas teams up with Afterpay
Buy now, pay later platform Afterpay is partnering with Qantas to allow its customers to earn frequent flyer points.
Afterpay customers can earn up to 5,000 Qantas Points depending on their purchases.
New signups get 500 points and will earn one point per $1 spent.
Existing Afterpay customers who link their accounts start earning Qantas Points after spending $1,000.
"Financial services is one of the most popular ways to earn points in the program," Qantas loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth said.
The Afterpay service allows customers to buy products, including travel, through credit instalment payments.
Afterpay has an agreement with Qantas low cost brand Jetstar allowing customers to book flights and pay later.
""Now our customers can earn Qantas Points on their purchases at no additional cost, just by using Afterpay as they normally would," said Afterpay CEO Anthony Eisen.
