Quang Nam, Vietnam launches UK office
Vietnam’s Quang Nam province has launched a UK office.
Operated by SLC Representation, the office will look after trade, marketing and PR for the region.
SLC is headquartered in London with an office in Sydney, Australia and has capabilities in the US, Asia and Europe.
Quang Nam province features popular tourist sites such as historic Hoi An, the iconic My Son temples and lesser known Cam Thanh.
The opening of a UK office opens the door for agents to learn more about the destination.
“Quang Nam sits in the heart of Vietnam with two well-known UNESCO world heritage sites but the region has so much more to offer. Our goal is to help agents and operators develop their knowledge of the region through trips, training and marketing opportunities in the year ahead,” said Chris Farwell, SLC’s Managing Director.
“With such a central location it’s highly likely Quang Nam will regularly feature in travel itineraries, and this is a great opportunity for agents and operators to understand how visitors can explore beyond Hoi An.”
The region is also focused on becoming a destination for eco-friendly and responsible tourism, and recently launched www.VisitQuangNam.com highlighting local green initiatives.
On the site visitors will find a wealth of ideas including 360-degree interactive tours and stories from locals, while the ‘Green Travel’ page has been reviewed by experts from the Swiss Sustainable Tourism Program and lists certified sustainable enterprises within Quang Nam.
Quang Nam comprises 15 islands, 10 lakes, 9 main rivers and 125 kilometres of coastline.
The Cham islands are a biosphere reserve and one of the top places in Vietnam to go snorkelling and diving.
