Record number of Americans to travel for 4 July holiday

In spite of sky-high gas prices the July 4th holiday will see a record number of travellers hit the road.
AAA predicts 42 million Americans will take a trip by road of 50 miles or more.
An additional 3.5 million people are expected to fly over the Independence Day weekend. AAA says airfares have risen to about 14% more expensive than in 2021. Average hotel room rates are 23% higher than 2021.
