RSAA’S 2008 Summit Held In St. Petersburg, Fla. Was The Year’s Premier Industry Event For Inbound Travel Representatives
The Receptive Services Association of America (RSAA), the leading association for receptive tour operators and suppliers in the inbound travel industry, held a successful and well-attended 2008 Summit from January 10-11, 2008, at the Tradewinds Island Resort in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Travel industry experts from across the country gathered at the Summit to exchange ideas face-to-face, network with business contacts, and share knowledge with fellow buyers and suppliers with the goal of advancing the inbound travel industry and improving the quality of travel-related services for foreign visitors.
“Once again, we were able to provide a forum for receptive tour operators and suppliers to learn about the latest issues and trends in the inbound travel industry,” said RSAA President Robert Santamaria. “We brought in highly-knowledgeable industry experts whose insights and expertise will help attendees plan for the future of their businesses.”
The Summit focused on Future Forecast of Travel Sunny Skies Ahead, Growth, Opportunities, Perspective and featured breakout sessions covering a variety of relevant topics from emerging travel markets to hotel luxury marketing.
Summit attendees benefited from an outstanding lineup of industry experts, including Malcolm Noden, a retired senior lecturer in management, economics, marketing and tourism at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, who spoke about major issues affecting inbound tourism.
Attendees also took advantage of the Summit Marketplace to determine product needs for the coming year and attended a number of networking and social events.
