Ryanair smashes bookings record

Ryanair has smashed its weekly bookings record, taking over 3 million bookings in one week.
The bookings on its website and through its app were for travel over the next 20-week period.
The airline said Wednesday January 10 was the busiest day for bookings last week and the most popular destinations included Lanzarote, Tenerife, Porto, Milan and Naples.~

Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said the figures represented five bookings a second and ‘more than half of the total passengers Virgin Atlantic carry in an entire year’.
