Sabre Holdings Expands its Presence in APAC
Sabre Holdings today announced the expansion of its team in Singapore and China in line with the company’s growing business success in Asia Pacific. A key appointment is the promotion of Andrew Powell to Regional Vice President Asia Pacific, Sabre Airline Solutions.
The four new appointments recognise the excellent successes of Sabre Airline Solutions and Sabre Travel Network in the APAC market, and signal the increasing importance of the Asia Pacific region in the company’s global growth strategy. In fact, 2005 was another record year for Sabre Airline Solutions, with the company securing 76 new system contracts with airlines based in the Asia Pacific region.
In addition to the promotion of Mr Powell, the expanded Sabre Airline Solutions team includes the appointment of Craig Parfitt to Regional Sales Director, Asia Pacific and Melvin Tan to Regional Marketing Manager SabreSonic, Asia Pacific. Sabre Travel Network adds Lionel Looi as Account Director for Asia Pacific to support the company’s regional business imperatives.
Mr Powell was promoted to this position from Sales Director, Asia Pacific where he had significant successes across a wide variety of areas including the Flight Scheduling, Crew and Airline Operations suites. During his two years in this previous role, Mr Powell played a vital role in strengthening Sabre Airline Solutions’ market presence and strategic partnerships in the region.
The appointment of additional Asia Pacific based resources is further demonstration to Sabre’s ongoing commitment to bring even more focus and resources to customers in this large and fast growing market.
