SalamAir hails record Khareef 2025 season
Oman low cost airline SalamAir welcomed record passenger traffic during the recent Khareef 2025 season in Salalah, reflecting the growing strength of domestic tourism.
Between 30 June and 31 August 2025, SalamAir operated 962 flights between Muscat, Sohar, and Salalah, compared to 658 flights in 2024, marking a 46% increase year-on-year.
Seat capacity also expanded by 37%, rising to 192,540 seats in 2025.
Almost 70% of passengers were Omani citizens, showcasing Salalah as a national destination during Khareef.
SalamAir supported this by introducing a special 48 OMR round-trip fare exclusively for Omanis.
Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir, said: “Khareef 2025 has been a remarkable success story for SalamAir and for the Sultanate. These results are proof of the airline’s commitment to connecting Oman affordably.”
The airline says Khareef 2025 also demonstrated the untapped potential of Oman’s domestic travel market.
The airline is committed to further expansion and to the long-term development of Salalah as an operational base.
