Sandals simplifies room categories in response to agents
Sandals says it has simplified its room category names following feedback from agents.
Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts will now feature standardised room names made from the following formula – Room Location + Room View + Room Size & Type + Level of Accommodation.
For example, Italian (village) + Beachfront + Two Bedroom + Butler Family Suite. This would previously have been known as Genoa Waters’ Edge Two Bedroom Imperial Family Suite.
It claims the simplification of the titles of various rooms allows both travel agents and their clients to better understand the resorts’ accommodation options.
"After listening to feedback from travel agents, we realised that creating simplified and intuitive category names helps eliminate confusion in the booking process," said Gordon "Butch" Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts International.
"We hope the new system helps agents and their clients better understand our options, and provides them with a discernible difference when choosing the best room category based on preferences and expectations."
All name changes will be updated in phases on the Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts websites.
