Former Octopustravel.com managing director Ray Mason has been appointed MD of Teletext Holidays online business in one of three senior management changes at the company.

He will replace Mark Bell who has joined Co-op Travel.

The other appointments see Stephen Dunk become deputy MD of Teletext Holidays while Ash Makkar has been named head of marketing.

Dunk is expected to take over as MD in April when Nishma Patel joins Chris Mottershead at Travelzest.

Teletext managing director Mike Stewart describes 2006 as an important year for Teletext as it increases its investment in new revenue streams and develops its range of services and business opportunities.

“Making three such appointments signals our intention to grow the business in the digital age whilst maintaining existing services,” he said.

As well as holding the role of Octopustravel.com MD, Mason was also interim head of e-commerce at Virgin Holidays.

Dunk meanwhile joins Teletext after 18 years at the Telegraph group where he rose to advertising sales director.
