SideStep unveils UK meta search engine
US travel meta search engine SideStep has launched in the UK with deals already secured with 100 travel sites.
Executive Russ Lemelin said the move will kick off an international expansion for the company.
“We introduced an innovative, new approach to online travel in the US with tremendous success and we are thrilled to be the first American online travel search provider to establish a UK presence,” he said.
“We’ve proven this model in the US and are confident of its value to consumers in the UK. We look forward to building a substantial business here.”
He said the UK was the first “logical step” before taking the company international.
SideStep said it will enable UK consumers to navigate the “crowded, fragmented low cost carrier market” by searching for the best available deal.
