Six Senses to debut in India with Rajasthan resort
Six Senses Hotels will debut in India next year with a resort planned for historic Rajasthan.
Six Senses Fort Barwara has been unveiled featuring 48 suites and will be located in the village of Chauth ka Barwara on the site of a 700-year-old royal fort.
The fort is being restored by a direct descendant of the Barwara ruling family in collaboration with developer Espire Group.
It is being renovated to India’s highest national sustainable design standards overseen by a team of conservation experts.
Amenities planned include two restaurants, a spa and fitness centre, two swimming pools, banqueting space and a kids club.
The signature Six Senses Spa will have an extensive ayurveda, meditation and Six Senses Integrated Wellness programmes.
"We are very excited to be working with Espire Group, our partner, on this wonderful project. Six Senses Fort Barwara marks the second heritage property that Six Senses will manage," said Six Senses president Bernhard Bohnenberger.
Six Senses will offer daily wildlife safari drives to the nearby Ranthambhore National Park, which is noted for its tiger population along with leopards, wild boar and a variety of birdlife.
Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas currently operates 11 resorts and 31 spas under brands Six Senses, Evason and Six Senses Spas.
