Ski specialist set for another season of growth
Family ski specialist Ski Famille is confident of another strong season after making a series of investments.
It says bookings are already ahead of this time last year thanks to investment in resort facilities, a new bookings system, and a vastly improved website set to launch later this month.
“Last season, we decided to expand our chalet programme in France by almost 20%,†said managing director Chris Thompson.
“As a small specialist operator there seemed to be opportunities in the market that hadn’t existed 18 months earlier.â€
He said by the time the last winter season ended in late April the company had seen a 25% increase in guest numbers over the 2008/09 season and a 45% increase in revenue.
“We had managed to significantly increase revenue per head at the same time as expanding our bed numbers, albeit from a modest start,†he said.
“There are opportunities in the ski market for high quality products with a clear focus.â€
