SkyTeam names Delta exec as new CEO
Global airline alliance SkyTeam has named Delta Air Lines executive Kristin Colvile as its new chief executive.
Colvile joins SkyTeam after 25 years’ at Delta and Northwest Airlines and most recently led Delta’s cargo division.
"We are absolutely confident that Kristin’s extensive experience will help us to build the alliance of the future for all 20 of our member airlines and their customers," said Michael Wisbrun, SkyTeam chairman.
She replaces Perry Cantarutti, who returns to Delta as the airline’s senior vice president of alliances.
As CEO Colvile will continue the focus on improving SkyTeam members’ technological capabilities and the overall customer experience.
SkyTeam also unveiled SkyLink Digital Spine, a new tool allowing each member airline to share seat maps and cross-sell ancillary products.
Delta and Aeromexico will be the first member airlines to use the function which will roll out to all 20 members by 2019.
