Small gains for industry shares

Travel and tourism shares saw small gains yesterday as London’s equity markets rose slowly. The FTSE 100 index gained 25 points to end the day at 4411, while the broader-based FTSE 250 put on 34.8 points to close at 6294. Though most industry shares ended the day in positive territory, major movements were in short supply; however, BA added 8.25p to close at 284.75p, while ebookers moved up 9p to end the day at 301p.
