There’s salt and pepper, and ham and eggs, but how about tanning and cruising?

Body Bronze Tan & Travel has found an unusual niche: The company gives away a free week of tanning to every cruise buyer.

“Our customers really enjoy being able to get a good tan before they go on a cruise. That way, you’re tanned for your trip,” said Barbara Bosco, one of a half dozen agents in the business located in Merritt Island, Florida.

Body Bronze business is about divided equally between booking trips and selling tans, she added.

The company started as a tanning business about 20 years ago. Often, customers would talk about cruises they were taking.

About nine years ago, the company added cruises to its line of tanning products. In addition to cruises, they also sell all other travel products except for airline tickets.

“Since there’s no money in it, we only do that for our good clients,” said Ms Bosco.

She added the agency has one other source of income: they sell swimwear and beach-style clothing.
