If you can’t keep up with the vast amount of travel industry events on the calendar, a new events service could help matters.
Travel Industry Events (TIE) has just soft launched a new free service to keep industry workers updated.
TIE says the service will be the only comprehensive, independent and interactive events service in travel. So far more than 500 travel professionals have joined up and 150 events are scheduled.
TIE soft-launched two months ago on social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. It is the brainchild of New Frontiers managaing director Julia Feuell and Online Travel Training director Bruce Martin.
It lists and promotes conferences, seminars, dinners, exhibitions and networking events. Event organisers can add their own event and get extra publicity via the social networking aspect of TIE.
Said Martin: “TIE was born out of an internal need to try to plan for event attendance across our existing companies. We found there was not one place to go to get a complete list of events.
"TIE is a truly independent resource for the benefit of the industry at large, all events will be featured regardless of which company is behind them.”
