St. Regis hotel brand coming to India
Upscale luxury hotel brand St. Regis will debut in India later this year.
Starwood Hotel & Resorts said it will reflag the 386-room Palladium Hotel in Mumbai with an expected opening in the autumn of this year.
It will be Starwood’s fourth property in the city and 44th overall in India.
The 38-storey hotel was renamed the Palladium in 2013 after owners Pallazzio Hotels & Leisure ended a management contract with Hong Kong based hospitality company Shangri-La Hotels.
"We are very excited to bring the St. Regis brand to India. Starwood is maintaining strong growth momentum in the region and the arrival of St. Regis in Mumbai reinforces our commitment to growing our luxury portfolio in this important market," said Dilip Puri, Starwood managing director, India.
