Steamboat company introduces themed cruises
The American West Steamboat Company, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, is offering three themed cruises this fall.
They include “Lewis & Clark,” “Big Band” and “Holiday” over 11 dates aboard the sternwheelers Empress of the North and Queen of the West.
Each of the featured cruises departs from Portland, Oregon, and travels over 1,000 miles along the Pacific Northwest’s Columbia, Willamette and Snake Rivers.
Guest historians will be aboard the ships to provide lectures.
Cruise rates start at $1,040 per person.
