Sunshine Coast unveils first submersible hybrid tourist submarine
A new tourist vessel launched on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast will allow discovery above and below the ocean waves. Down Under Submarines in Mooloolaba unveiled Australia’s first submersible hybrid tourist submarine.
The SUBCAT-30 hybrid vessel offers sunset cruises as a conventional catamaran boat and can also transform into submersible and dive up to 30 metres below the surface.
Once submerged it produces zero emissions as it is powered by battery operated electric thrusters.
