Survey finds more meetings on horizon
Coming up this year: more meetings.
A survey of planners found the majority of respondents or more than two-thirds said they expected more meetings this year.
More than half also said their meeting budgets have increased from last year.
Of interest to venues and suppliers: almost two-thirds of the planners also said they are seeking new outlets for their meetings and events.
A total of 972 planners participated in the study held at the sixth annual Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International’s Affordable Meetings Mid-America show in Chicago.
