TELME ONLINE GEARS UP FOR
ANTICPATED GDS DEREGULATION

TelMe Online has prepared for the anticipated GDS’s global deregulation with the significant expansion of its Ticket Window Technology compatibility.

This Ticket Window Technology has previously successfully interfaced with the Galileo GDS and will now be developed and extended to be compatible with the other three major GDS products – Sabre, Worldspan and Amadeus.

TelMe will be able to offer Travel Agents any or all of the suite of Ticket Window Products regardless of the agents chosen GDS system. These will include the TelMe Internet Booking Engine (IBE), Private Fares System, Tactical Offer Engine, Corporate Traveller module and Filed Fare Engine.

The TelMe technology provide agents with a range of invaluable e-commerce productivity tools which enable agents to manage their businesses more effectively, achieve major cost savings and maximise their revenue opportunities. Virtually all of the current applications will be immediately available for agents, including the ability to search schedule, consolidated and private fares data bases, check availability in every class, by both price and time, make the required reservations and place them directly to the required bookings Q’s for agency reservation and ticketing.

The new technology was launched at the end of May and is currently being successful piloted with the Advantage Travel Focus Group and the T.M.P.L. Group.

TelMe OnLine’s Managing Director, Peter Muller, elaborated; “This expansion of our technology marks a significant milestone in our company’s development. We will be able to offer our range of e-commerce productivity tools to new customers who will be able to benefit from the products we can offer. We are also able to give agents the opportunity to more effectively manage their own destinies and reap greater profit margins from their existing and potential new business”.

The company is currently working on new developments which should help to minimise the need for expensive cross training on the various GDS products. These should be available before the end of the year.
