Tempo close to new online system
SYDNEY – Tempo Holidays is in the final stages of trialling its new purpose-built online reservations system, three years in the making.
General manager, sales and marketing, Mark Johnson said the system represented the most significant investment made by the company in its near 20-year history.
“The significant investment and commitment made by Tempo in developing this new system will have wide ranging benefits to the travel industry as well, particularly given the tough times we are all experiencing,†he said.
Johnson said that over the last four months some 40 agents had previewed the development and were very much looking forward to using the system and its considerable improvements.
Among the key performances of the system are an improved booking engine with enhanced booking management tools, greater flexibility within the system allowing complex itineraries to be created on the one booking and more product on freesale or from allotment.
Tempo plans to issue an Introduction and Operational brief across the agency networks before it goes live.
