Expansion of its successful key city “Taste Of…” packages, regional accommodation in Germany and coach tours in Switzerland are among the new products in Tempo Holidays’ Austria and Germany 2007-2008 brochure.

Berlin, Zurich, Amsterdam, Slovenia, Salzburg and Bratislava have been added to the “Taste Of…” list while all brochured hotels for Budapest, Vienna and Prague for the first time, are linked to “Taste Of…” packages.

The brochure features Austria, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Hungary, The Czech Republic and for the first time pages for Slovenia and Slovakia.

Product covers accommodation (3 star to 5 star), car rental, rail tours, walking tours, independent tours, Rhine and Danube river cruising, coach tours, private tours, sightseeing/day tours, Croatia cruising and German Christmas Markets packages.

General Manager Product, Nigel Loveday said that while he expected Prague and Vienna to form the base for many travellers, the new brochure provided scope for agents to build broader itineraries linking other countries in this increasingly popular and interesting region of Europe.

Among the changes to Vienna product is a coffee/cake voucher for the Kaffee Schwarzenberg added to the 4 days Taste of Vienna package (from $503 per person twin). This also includes a dinner at the historic Piaristenkeller Restaurant (3-course set menu and a glass of sparkling wine), entrance voucher to the Apple Strudel Show at the Café Restaurant Residenz at Schönbrunn Palace, return private transfers, hotel and breakfasts and half day Historic Vienna and Schönbrunn Tour.

Fifteen Vienna hotels are in the Taste of Vienna selection.

The new 3 days Taste of Salzburg (from $390) includes a Mozart city tour and Mozart dinner concert.

The popular 8 days Royal Cities Rail Tour of Vienna, Prague and Budapest (from $1533) is featured alongside the 8 days Salzkammergut Lakes Walking Tour (from $885) and the 7 days Austrian Highlights coach tour (from $1626).

For self driving, Tempo is also highlighting the easy to use year-round voucher-based Welcome Ticket for access to some 270 properties in Lower Austria.

In Germany, among the changes are expanded accommodation in key regional cities and towns, new Taste of Berlin (from $461) and Taste of Frankfurt (from $362) and the addition of a Berlin self-drive tour in an East German Trabant car (from $87).

Taste of Zurich (from $610) and six coach tours on guaranteed departure have been added in Switzerland.

The 4 days Taste of Slovenia package (from $1047) has Ljubljana city tour as well as a tour to Bled and Bohinj Lakes while the 3 days Taste of Bratislava (from $416) has a private walking tour and a dinner at a typical wine cellar.

The 4 days Taste of Budapest package (from $577) now has coffee and cake voucher too, (at Café Gerbeaud) while in Prague, an organ concert is an inclusion in the 4 days Taste of Prague (from $311).

The 6 days Czech Spas and Castles self drive tour (from $520, plus car hire) is expected to be popular again as is the wholesaler’s 8 days escorted Grand Tour of Croatia (from $1371) and its Croatia cruising program.

A new sightseeing tour from Dubrovnik visits Montenegro.
