The cruise will pass through the Drake Passage enroute to the Northern-most tip of Antarctica, the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands. Highlights include visits to Deception Island, which offers spectacular views of the caldera, and the breathtaking Neumayer Channel, famous for its majestic cliffs. The cruise also visits Port Lockroy, known for the British Station which was turned into a museum by the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust in 1996.

Throughout the cruise, lectures onboard give cruisers the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Antarctic, expeditions to the South Pole, the development of glaciers in South America and the exotic wilderness of the surrounding environment. Shore excursions accompany these lectures to help you better appreciate the region. Eight Zodiacs will transfer passengers from ship to shore weather permitting twice a day.
