Thailand targets $64 billion tourism revenue in 2023
Thailand expects to get back to about 80% of its 2019, tourism levels by next year.
Thailand targets tourism earnings of THB2.38 trillion (US$64.50 billion) in 2023.
Foreign tourists are projected to generate up to THB1.5 trillion next year, government spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri said.
Thailand forecasts 1.5 million arrivals per month in the last quarter of this year, and September has already seen more than one million so far.
That would reach its target of 10 million visitors for the calendar year.
